Client: UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Advanced Engineering Sector Group
Project: Russia – Advanced Engineering Scoping Study and Report, 2009
UKTI Advanced Engineering Sector Group wanted assistance in Russia to identify business
opportunities on a cross sectoral basis by investigating the engineering technologies,
products, processes and skills that are most required.
Over a three month period the Kinetic Cubed team of specialists carried out an extensive
research programme of fieldwork in Russia and the UK with Advanced Engineering companies
and stakeholders covering civil aerospace, automotive, mining and general engineering
sectors. Interviews in Russian were conducted face to face in market in Moscow, St.
Petersburg, Ekaterinburg (Urals), Chelyabinsk (Southern Urals) and Nizhny Novgorod
(Volga Basin). Case studies were developed to highlight specific key findings.
From the analysis of the research collated, a report was developed which identified the
key gaps in Russian Advanced Engineering and matched these to UK capabilities. The outcome
of the research was to provide UKTI with series of highly practical recommendations to strengthen and focus
its support for UK Advanced Engineering companies wanting to do more business in Russia
Client: The Commonwealth Secretariat
Project: Promotion of Professional Services in Guyana, 2007
The Commonwealth Secretariat provides technical assistance on request to Commonwealth
countries that are looking to develop their international services sectors. The Ministry
of Foreign Trade and International Cooperation (MOFTIC) based in Georgetown in Guyana
requested assistance to map, profile and prioritise sub-sectors within professionals
services in Guyana, to assess international demand and target markets, and to benchmark
Guyana against other neighbouring countries.
Kinetic Cubed partnered with a specialist Caribbean based consultancy to help with the
delivery of this project, which involved carrying out primary research with Guyanese
companies and stakeholders, as well as designing, developing and delivering two workshops
in Georgetown as part of the international capacity and capability building process.
The main outcome was a strategy and action plan to help support the successful
promotion of the professional services sector in Guyana.
Client: International Business Wales (IBW)
Programme: International Trade Opportunities – Turkey, 2009
This three year programme provides international trade development support to SMEs in Wales
for the Turkish market.
The programme includes 1-2-1 company support in trade development, opportunity generation
and qualification.
Kinetic Cubed has worked closely with an in-market partner based in Turkey’s commercial capital Istanbul
who is a specialist adviser to overseas companies trading in Turkey and has well over 10 years of experience assisting
foreign companies in Turkey. Our market reach extends across all the major metros of Turkey.
